What a busy time first grade has had. After working on line and color and creating darling chameleons, we jumped into the Ancient World and created Cave Art. It was so much fun! We then created a "cave" in the hallway at school! Come and take a look!

Citrus Art and Mayan Masks. Fifth graders practiced tint, tone and shade as they created a piece of citrus fruit using tempera paint. After sketching their fruit they mixed paint to create the value of a real piece of fruit.
The Mayan Masks following the study of the Aztec, Mayan and Inca cultures. These masks were created through a directed draw and then colored in with oil pastel and baby oil. Can't wait to see them finished! |
